Created in 1942, Toubkal National Park represents the crown jewel of Moroccan mountaineering. From the trailhead at Armed village (1,900 m), the classic route ascends past the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamarouch (2,310 m) to the twin stone mountain refuges at 3,207 m (Refuge du Toubkal and Les Mouflons).
