Expedition Overview

The definitive cultural trekking loop for travelers who want to experience authentic High Atlas village life without climbing to extreme altitudes. Traverse pine forests, walnut valleys, and remote adobe villages staying in welcoming family-run gîtes.

Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Imlil to Azzaden Valley via Tizi Mzik (2,489m) - Ascend through juniper forests to Tizi Mzik pass for breathtaking views over Toubkal. - Descend into the tranquil red Azzaden Valley to the village of Tizi Oussem for the night. Day 2: Tizi Oussem to Id Aissa & D’knt Valley - Hike past cascading summer waterfalls and walnut groves. - Discover traditional water-powered grain mills and stone houses. Day 3: Tizi Ouirgane pass to Ouirgane Reservoir - Gentle descent through Mediterranean olive groves and red clay hills. - Celebrate with a farewell Berber couscous banquet before transfer back.
