Day 1: Marrakech > Azilal > Tizi n'Tirghiste pass > Agouti (1,800m) > Azib Ikkis camp (2,250m) (3h walk)
Day 2: Azib Ikkis > Aghouri Pass (3,400m) > Tarkidit Plateau camp (2,900m) (5h walk, +1100m / -500m)
Day 3: Summit Day: Optional ascent of Mount M'Goun (4,068m) > Oulimit Valley camp (2,700m) (8-9h walk)
Day 4: Oulimit Valley > M'Goun riverbanks > Remote villages > Aflafal camp (2,400m) (4h walk)
Day 5: Aflafal > Tizi n'Aït Immi pass (2,905m) > Aït Bougmez Valley > Tabant gîte (1,850m) (6h walk)
Day 6: Tabant > Scenic return drive to Marrakech (6h drive).

Under Moroccan mountain safety regulations, trekking past designated trailheads (such as Aroumd and Sidi Chamarouch) requires an accredited guide. All our expeditions are personally guided or supervised by certified mountain guides registered with the Royal Moroccan Mountaineering Federation.
Frequently Asked Questions
M'Goun is non-technical (walking on scree ridge). The summit day is 8-9 hours, but travelers preferring a gentler day can take the lower valley route with the mules to camp.
