Trek Itinerary
08:30 AM — Depart Marrakech accommodation in private vehicle.
09:30 AM — Arrive in Amizmiz (alt. 1,000m), prepare gear and begin hike towards Tafgart village.
10:45 AM — Traditional mint tea break in Tafgart village at the home of a local Berber family.
11:30 AM — Continue hiking across inclined hills, passing near Ait Ahmed with views over the valley.
01:15 PM — Arrive in Sllamt village (alt. 1,250m), meet our host family, and enjoy a slow-cooked Berber tagine lunch.
03:15 PM — Depart Sllamt on a gentle downhill trail, enjoying views of Tizgui and Ait Ouskri, passing through Sidi Hssaine.
05:00 PM — Arrive back in Amizmiz and board transport for Marrakech.

Official Guide Accreditation & Checkpoints
Under Moroccan mountain safety regulations, trekking past designated trailheads (such as Aroumd and Sidi Chamarouch) requires an accredited guide. All our expeditions are personally guided or supervised by certified mountain guides registered with the Royal Moroccan Mountaineering Federation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Clothing should be relatively modest and cover the legs, shoulders, and upper arms. For women, long trousers that cover your legs completely and no sleeveless shirts. For men, long trousers are normal, but shorts in summer are acceptable. Good walking shoes are essential.
We offer 3 options: Heavy walking (5-6 hours starting in Amizmiz at 1000m to Sllamt at 1250m), Moderate walking (3-4 hours via Sidi Hssaine), or Basic walking (brought by taxi to a village with minimal walking).
Lunch is prepared by our host Berber family: freshly baked village bread, traditional slow-cooked chicken or vegetable tagine, seasonal salads, and fresh fruit. Strict vegetarian meals are gladly accommodated with advance notice.
Berber village homes have clean traditional squat toilets with soap and water. Toilet paper is provided by our guide team. During the trail section, natural settings are used if necessary.
Our prices are 100% all-inclusive. You will never be taken to commercial shops or pressured to buy rugs or goods. Tipping is completely voluntary and never expected.
